From April 11th to 15th, Pastor Kang Dae Suk from Good News Suwon Church in South Korea and a group of people travelled to Ghana for the Retreat in Ghana. All saved Ghanaian brothers and sisters were waiting for the Retreat with a joy and great expectation because it has been a long age since we came together like this. It is also the Easter celebration which is the death and the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Many Ghanaians honour this occasion greatly in their life but they don’t know the secret behind it, pertaining to salvation.

Prior to this Retreat, many Bible Seminars were held in the various University campuses such as Legon University in Accra, UCC in Cape Coast, KNUST in Kumasi, UDS in Tamale etc., by our missionaries and the 8th Class IYF missionaries. In Cape Coast, when the missionary Kyung Won Cho preached the word, many students confessed that it was their first time of hearing salvation message like that about forgiveness of sins and being born again. The effort of the Mahanaim Academy had attracted over 110 students every weekend for supplementary lessons in C omputer and language theology. Against this background, over 190 students were able to participate in this Retreat. Participants took part in various academies such as computer , French , American English, Korean language, Tae Kwon do etc. Also, ministers in Mahanaim Pastors Leadership training were so happy listening to the Retreat messages and Gospel Class words.

Pastor Kang Dae Suk explained Genesis 25 about the life of Jacob and Esau, comparing it to our spiritual life. He said that “Jacob was able to get blessing because he was a failure just like the man hit by robbers in Luke 10:25-37. All these people failed in their spiritual life so they could get blessings by Jesus. Many brothers and sisters as well as new souls were too much impressed by this word during the Retreat because we have lived our faithful life just like Esau who had the heart to do well in order to be blessed. Over 1000 participants who joined the Ghana Retreat were so glad for such words. With this changed heart in the Retreat, we want to prepare the coming Ghana world camp in August with Pastor Ock Soo Park as the guest speaker. The retreat was a special one with colourful cultural performance competition between the various regional churches. As the host, Tema church presented the most colours cultural display which won the hearts and applause of the whole congregation.
